Telangana @ 12: Mancherial Celebrates Statehood with Pride, Progress and Public Service
Hosted by the Integrated District Office Complex (IDOC), Mancherial, Telangana Formation Day 2026 celebrations featured State Government Advisor Harkara Venugopal Rao, public welfare initiatives, cultural performances, and tributes to Telangana martyrs.
The spirit of Telangana’s remarkable journey over the last twelve years came alive in Mancherial as the district administration organized grand celebrations marking the 12th Telangana State Formation Day at the Integrated District Office Complex (IDOC).
Hosted under the leadership of District Collector Kumar Deepak, IAS, the event brought together government officials, elected representatives, students, police personnel, and citizens in a vibrant celebration of Telangana’s achievements and aspirations. The programme was graced by State Government Advisor Sri Harkara Venugopal Rao, who attended as the Chief Guest.
A Tribute to the Sacrifices Behind Telangana
The celebrations began with a solemn tribute at the Amaraveerula Stupam (Martyrs’ Memorial), where Sri Harkara Venugopal Rao paid floral homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Telangana statehood movement.
The tribute served as a powerful reminder that Telangana’s formation was not merely an administrative achievement but the culmination of decades of struggle, sacrifice, and collective determination.
Guard of Honour and National Flag Hoisting
Following the tribute ceremony, the Chief Guest proceeded to the Collectorate premises where he received a ceremonial Police Guard of Honour.
Amid patriotic fervour and enthusiastic participation from officials and citizens, Sri Venugopal Rao unfurled the National Flag and addressed the gathering, highlighting Telangana’s achievements since its formation in 2014.
The event reflected the state’s commitment to democratic governance, public welfare, and inclusive development.
Telangana’s Development Story Continues
Addressing the audience, Sri Harkara Venugopal Rao extended his greetings to the people of Telangana on the completion of twelve years of statehood.
He noted that Telangana has emerged as one of India’s most progressive states through sustained investments in:

Students Steal the Show
The celebration was filled with colour, energy, and cultural pride as students from various educational institutions presented a series of performances.
Patriotic songs, traditional Telangana folk dances, and cultural programmes captivated the audience and showcased the immense talent of the district’s youth.
The performances reflected Telangana’s rich cultural heritage while inspiring a sense of pride among attendees.
The Formation Day celebrations also highlighted the government’s focus on social welfare and citizen empowerment.
An ARSI officer from the Police Department was honoured under the Best Service Recognition programme for exemplary service.
In a significant gesture toward accessibility and empowerment, battery-operated bicycles and scooter vehicles were distributed to persons with disabilities, enabling greater mobility and independence.
Students were also encouraged through educational support initiatives, symbolizing Telangana’s commitment to investing in the future generation.
